Conic collection
Inspired by conic sections occurring in geometry when a primitive form is sliced by an intersecting line, this collection explores how primary silhouettes in fashion, such as a T-shirt can be dissected to create new silhouettes. Waste materials like zippers up-cycled from manufacturing car covers, and second-hand men's T-shirts are adapted into silhouettes and explored through draping on the form and in 3D digital software. With a heavy industrial influence drawn from the Ferrari concept car "Modulo", this collection moves the grounding line that separates the top of the Modulo from the bottom and represents it across each look.
